How to fix Win 8.1 blackscreen and Ubuntu partition mount error ( Dualboot ):
Win 8.1 blackscreen :
This is a thoughtful issue for the users of Windows 8. Many have reported a strange error without any message prompts or problem definitions. On the word of protesters, Windows 8 bumps into a black screen after it boots, forcing them to restart. This could certainly be an issue of incompatible updates of Windows itself as well as device drivers, corrupted device drivers. The prescribed solution is to be initiated through safe mode, but as Windows 8 does not boot into safe mode in a usual way, you may need its installation disc.
Ubuntu partion error ( dualboot with Win 8.1 or 8) :
Windows 8, by default, hibernates instead of fully shutting down (read: to allow for fast boot). It's a pain but I believe if you tell windows to reboot into the special "Advanced Options" mode in the settings then you could potentially tell windows to shutdown fully. How can you fix it ?
Here im gonna show you how you can reslove those two problems , by keeping the default Win 8.1 boot setting ( Fastboot ) and have the acces to your all partition from Ubuntu.
How ?
It's eazy just by configuring Ubuntu to mount the Win 8.1 partions automaticaly using Disk-Manager (but on Read-only mod).
Installation :
1)- Go to download main page and download : disk-manager_1.1.1-1_all.deb
Configuration :
- After installation you should creat your partion folder in /mnt :
Note : you can change "sauv1" to your prefered partion name
- Now open disk-manager with :
- Then chose your partion (Win partition) and click edit and type the name of your partition (that you already created) :
Now save and go back to Disk-manager main menu and select your partion then close it and all is done you can now acces to your partions from Ubuntu
(Read-only mod) without changing Win 8.1 settings ,and you will able to boot from Win 8.1 without the blackscreen of death right now .
