How to fix Grub missing error when booting to Manjaro usb stick with rufus

Rufus is a known utility that helps create  bootable USB flash drives,such as USB keys/pendrives, memory sticks etc.

But lately with the release of the newer version of the tool (3.1 and above) some people's reported having issues creating proper bootable USB sticks especially with Manjaro ISO's, And afyer some researches I have found a quick fix posted on Github you can check the post from here.

All you have to do is to choose  "DD Mode"  instead of  "ISO Mode" for some reasons this broke the Grub main files and prevent it from booting properly, Manjaro's team and Rufus reported that the issue will be fixed in the next versions.

So after getting your ISO image go ahead and open Rufus :

1 : Select your USB flash drive
2 : Select your ISO image
3 : Hit the start button

Next step is when Rufus prompt and suggest you to create the bootable USB stick in "ISO Mode" you have to select "DD Mode" instead :

And that's it you can go ahead now and hit create button and everything should be fin, I've tried this method and it worked perfectly and I hope it will with you too.

This database is ever expanding (somewhat like definitions for Antivirus programs) and allows TrID to identify a wider range of file types.

Online TrID File Identifier is aimed at users who need to identify files right away. It also saves you from the hassle of downloading the binary definition database separately (more on that later) to get it up and running. It has a simple interface and is also very easy to use. All you need to do is visit the website (via link at the end), click Browse to select the file you need to scan, and click ‘Analyze’.

TrID offer you 3 differents way to identify your files :

How to install Ubuntu/Infinality fonts in Manjaro Linux

The Ubuntu Font Family are a set of matching new libre/open fonts. The development is being funded by Canonical on behalf the wider Free Software community and the Ubuntu project. The technical font design work and implementation is being undertaken by Dalton Maag.
Both the final font Truetype/OpenType files and the design files used to produce the font family are distributed under an open licence and you are expressly encouraged to experiment, modify, share and improve. The typeface is sans-serif, uses OpenType features and is manually hinted for clarity on desktop and mobile computing screens.
The scope of the Ubuntu Font Family includes all the languages used by the various Ubuntu users around the world in tune with Ubuntu's philosophy which states that every user should be able to use their software in the language of their choice. So the Ubuntu Font Family project will be extended to cover many more written languages.

Well as a Manjaro Linux user i appreciate using Ubunto font with my Manjaro,and i would like to share this experiance with you.

But before we start, i want to let you know that this method involves installing packages "directly from the Arch repository" and the Manjaro Wiki itself warns that, so to avoid any future problem i recommend you to backup /etc/fonts directory.

Now in addition to Ubuntu & Infinality fonts, an Arch Linux member called "bohoomil" (who previously hosted the infinality-fontconfig-ultimate package in AUR) has rolled out new font package called "infinality bundle".

How can i install .bundle file ?

Before we start installing Ubuntu or Infinality fonts, we need to install MS fonts :

$ yaourt -S ttf-ms-fonts
In order to use the repository, you need to add the following to your pacman.conf :

$ sudo mousepad pacman.conf

And add these lines :

[infinality-bundle]
Server = http://bohoomil.com/repo/$arch

If you want to access multilib libraries in x86_64 architecture as well, add also this:
[infinality-bundle-multilib]Server = http://bohoomil.com/repo/multilib/$arch
Additionaly, if you want to use a comprehensive collection of free fonts from the infinality-bundle-fonts repository, append :

[infinality-bundle-fonts]Server = http://bohoomil.com/repo/fonts
Now you should , import and sign the key:

# pacman-key -r 962DDE58# pacman-key --lsign-key 962DDE58
Refresh the package list :

# pacman -Syyu
And finally, install the bundle with :

# pacman -S infinality-bundle
Restore stock fonts :

If you want to restore default Manjaro Linux font use this cmd :

# pacman -S --asdeps freetype2 cairo fontconfig

How to download free and legal Windows 7/8/8.1/10 from Microsoft

Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) is an anti-piracy system created by Microsoft that enforces online validation of the licensing of several recent Microsoft Windows operating systems when accessing several services, such as Windows Update, and downloading Windows components from the Microsoft Download Center. In Windows 7, WGA is renamed Windows Activation Technologies.WGA consists of two components: an installable component called WGA Notifications that hooks into Winlogon and validates the Windows license upon each logon and an ActiveX control that checks the validity of the Windows license when downloading certain updates from the Microsoft Download Center or Windows Update. WGA Notifications covers Windows XP and later, with the exception of Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP Professional x64 Edition. The ActiveX control checks Windows 2000 Professional licenses as well.
