How to install Slidewall live wallpaper application on Ubuntu :












Slidewall is an wallpaper changer for Unity desktop.Created with Unity in mind Slidewall is fun,simple and quite fast.With great features it will be a pleasure to use this app.

Supported live wallpapers:

Live earth wallpaper: using this, Sidewall downloads the sunlight map from www.opentopia.com every 20 minutes and sets it as your wallpaper. Screenshot:












Wallpaper Clocks: 

Use various wallpapers with a real-time working clock blended into the wallpaper. By default, Slidewall comes with just a few wallpaper clocks but you can download more from HERE. Once you download a wallpaper clock (don't extract the downloaded archive), open Slidewall and on the Slidewall Live Wallpapers tab, click Add and select the downloaded wallpaper clocks.

Previously, wallpaper clocks were supported on GNOME through a screenlet, but the screenlet is buggy and it displays a black background when its updated, for some users.

Install Slidewall in Ubuntu :


1)- Open a terminal and Copie/Paste the following cmds :

- for Ubuntu 13.04/14.04/14.10/Linux Mint : 

* From NoobsLab PPa :




* From Slidewall PPa :





- for Ubuntu 12.10:




- for Ubuntu 12.04:





2)- After installing Slidewall correctly start it from dash menu :


















And chose or load a wallpaper and hit "Start" button de apply and it's done.
