How to install latest version of skype on Ubuntu(14.04) :

Skype is a proprietary telephony software, videophone and chat over the Internet. It allows users to make calls by voice and video chat and textually with a list of contacts established by the user. The calls between Skype users (Skype software Skype to another) are completely free, while calls made from Skype to a traditional phone number (landline or mobile) are charged to the user.

Installation :

1)- Open a terminal :

wget http://download.skype.com/linux/skype-ubuntu-precise_4.2.0.13-1_i386.deb

sudo dpkg -i skype-ubuntu-precise_4.2.0.13-1_i386.deb

sudo apt-get -f install

sudo dpkg -i skype-ubuntu-precise_4.2.0.13-1_i386.deb

sudo sed -i "s/^Exec=.*/Exec=env PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=60 skype %U/" /usr/share/applications/skype.desktop
